April 4, 2013

The beginning of April, 2013, Banyan Learning Tree opened the doors of its first Outpost School located in the heart of the village of Toul Sambo, Sangkat Prey Veng, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

80 children are eagerly attending this free English School that provides classes Monday through Friday.

Many poor, AIDS-affected families live in this relatively new village - many of them garment factory workers relocated from Phnom Penh and living in government housing.

Teacher Phon Chamroen spent his first year teaching at Banyan Learning Tree's main school location and is now living in Toul Sambo and happily teaching these new students.

This new Outpost School needs many items to meet the growing number of students - boards, shelves, library books and school supplies. (Please click here to donate)
